What is Acres of Ink?
Acres of Ink is an independent book editing and proofreading service, run by Kim Goodacre.
What do you do?
Acres of Ink helps ‘fictional worlds grow, one sentence at a time’. In other words, Kim works as a kind of literary gardener; taking the seeds of your novel / first draft and helping it grow and bloom into polished manuscript.
There are currently two services on offer: Developmental Book Editing and Proofreading. If you’re interested in either of these services, please click the links below to find out more.
Alternatively, if you’re interested in the Developmental Editing service but are not sure that Acres of Ink is the right fit for you, you can request a free sample edit.
Additionally, you can check out the feedback from previous clients.
They say you don’t get anything for free but that’s not true. The Acres of Ink gives free editing and writing advice on a new subject every week. The blog is updated every Monday and will feature a range of topics, genres and demographics. The main categories are:
- Character Development
- Plot Development
- World Building
- Making Progress
- Writing ‘Right’
- Editing & Redrafting
